About this file

This document is an addendum to a Request for Bids (RFB) issued by the Iowa Department of Administrative Services for the construction of a new Apprenticeship Building at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. The project includes general construction, with several bid alternates for additional scope items such as liner panels and a steam tunnel. The contract is set to be issued in August 2024, with submittals due in September 2024 and construction scheduled from October 2024 to January 2025, with closeout in February 2025. The addendum also includes details on the pre-bid meeting, such as the attendance list, project overview, and schedule. Contractors will need to register through the IMPACS Electronic Procurement System to submit their bids, which are due by 2:00 pm on August 1, 2024.

The project has an estimated construction budget of around $910,000. The successful contractor will be required to provide project-specific insurance and performance and payment bonds prior to contract execution, and must submit a list of subcontractors and suppliers within 48 hours of the bid opening. Procore will be used for project management, and the contractor's schedule of values must include a closeout line item of at least 1% of the total contract value.
