About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for RFB-343, issued by the Chemung County-City of Elmira Purchasing Department for the procurement of two new washer extractors with soap dispensers and three new drying cabinets for firefighter personal protective equipment (PPE) gear. The bid is due on March 25, 2025, at 1:45 PM, with the bid date remaining unchanged from the original solicitation. The technical specifications are based on Groves/Ready Rack Extractor 35 Washer and Groves/Ready Rack Vortex DC2 Drying Cabinet, with the intent to acquire new and unused equipment that meets or exceeds the minimum operational requirements.

The addendum addresses two vendor inquiries regarding bonding requirements. A 5% Total Gross Sum Bid bond is required with bid submission and will be returned when the contract is awarded. Additionally, the successful bidder will need to provide a supply contract bond for the full contract amount at the time of contract signing, which will be returned upon full compliance with the contract terms. The document is signed by Jason E. Wascher, Deputy Purchasing Coordinator, and was issued on March 19, 2025, with instructions for vendors to contact the Purchasing Office with any further questions.
