II. PROJECT
The City of Del Rio is seeking bids for maintenance chemicals for the City's Parks and the SanFelipe Springs Golf Course. The selected vendor(s) would supply herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, and other related turf and ground maintenance chemicals necessary for the upkeep of City parks, athletic fields, and golf course grounds. The intent of the request for bids is to establish pricing for the chemical products regularly used by the Parks Department and San Felipe Springs Golf Course throughout the year to maintain healthy turf, control weeds and pests, and support overall ground maintenance operations.
The City's Parks Department and San Felipe Springs Golf Course depend on these products to keep public green spaces safe, attractive, and playable for residents and visitors. Applying the appropriate chemicals at the right times is essential to maintaining healthy turf and controlling weeds and pests. Failure to maintain these areas can lead to damaged turf, unsafe or unusable athletic fields, costly repairs and replanting, and a decline in the quality of the City's recreational facilities.

These products help control weeds and pests and keep turf healthy for community use throughout the year. The San Felipe Springs Golf Course uses turf and ground maintenance chemicals to maintain its greens, fairways, and surrounding grounds. These products are essential to keeping the course in playing condition and protecting the City's investment in the facility.
