About this file

This document is a Specification Requirements Questionnaire (Appendix R) for RFB-0346 issued by the County of Sacramento, California, seeking to establish a list of approved contractors for Collision and Body Damage Repair Services for both Light Fleet and Heavy Fleet vehicles. The county intends to award contracts to multiple vendors who can provide comprehensive repair services, with a specific focus on Heavy Fleet vehicles including Class 7 & 8 equipment up to 26,000 lbs. Contractors must be able to provide written quotes within 48 hours of a site vehicle inspection, and those awarded contracts may be removed for poor performance or inability to meet the county's needs.

Key requirements for contractors include having adequate equipment such as multiple service bays, positive pressure downdraft explosion-protected spray booths, ADAS calibration equipment, and trained technicians. Specific technical requirements cover frame equipment, personnel certifications, paint matching, parts replacement (with a preference for OEM parts), and warranty provisions. Contractors must offer towing services at rates not exceeding $45, provide a minimum 12-month warranty on repairs, and comply with federal and state environmental and workplace safety regulations. The county reserves the right to determine parts usage based on vehicle age, mileage, and repair cost estimates, with Fleet Services maintaining final decision-making authority on repair specifications and components.
