1.22 ASBESTOS

Most areas of work were built or extensively remodeled after 1998, and the specifications for that work prohibited the use of asbestos-containing materials. A detailed asbestos survey has recently been completed. The COR states that no asbestos is expected to be encountered and removal is not in the scope of work. Contractor may bring suspicious materials to the attention of the COR, and the VA will test it.

This phasing plan was established by the affected medical departments. Dates and durations will be established by the Contractor.
