About this file
The document contains responses to vendor questions for RFP# 24-0904004-021 issued by the South Dakota Department of Health (SD DOH). The RFP seeks proposals from organizations to provide a Rape Prevention Coordinator to assist in grant management support and implementing the primary prevention strategies/activities and protective factors related to these strategies. The strategies include building infrastructure for sexual violence prevention, developing a state action plan, and implementing sexual violence prevention approaches. The RFP specifies a preference for a 1.0 FTE filling the RPE Coordinator scope of work, and clarifies that this is a new position, even though the DOH has received the Rape Prevention Education (RPE) grant for many years.
The RPE grant is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and focuses on primary prevention and stopping sexual violence before it begins. The grant encourages the development of comprehensive prevention strategies using the public health approach and social ecological model as guiding frameworks. The RFP provides details on the grant information and instructions for submitting inquiries to the designated contact, Sarah Barclay, at the SD DOH.
