About this file
The document is a set of responses to vendor questions regarding a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) for an Athletics New Washing Machine. The RFP seeks to procure a 3-phase 60lbs capacity washing machine, with a 30-day delivery requirement after the contract is awarded. The vendor's insurance coverage is sufficient, and the winning vendor does not need to provide additional Automobile or Commercial Vehicle insurance.
The current washing machine is a Speed Queen SC60VNV model. The RFP does not mention any set-asides, incumbents, or funding sources. The responses indicate a focus on addressing vendor questions to ensure an accurate proposal submission.

RE: Responses to Vendor Questions Request for Proposal Identification: MSD FC460011 eMMA Sourcing Project Number: BPM043130 Request for Proposal Title: Athletics New Washing Machine
Dear Vendors:
On behalf of the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD), I wish to thank all of the vendors who have proposed questions pertaining to the above-captioned Request for Proposal (RFP). We are working diligently on responses for other questions asked of us but felt the need to address a couple of the proposed questions immediately.
Question: In attempting to pull together a response to the IFB, we would like to inquire about the type of electric supply at Maryland School for the Deaf. The machines designed for 240V 60Hz come in either 1 phase or 3 phase varieties. In order to most accurately quote this IFB, we would need to know more specifics about that variable.
Also, if the shipment of the machine is through a freight vendor, does information about that vendor's insurance suffice? Does our company need to additionally provide insurance such as Automobile or Commercial Vehicle?
Response:
1. The Washing Machine we are requesting a 3 phase.
2. The vendor’s insurance suffices
3. The winning vendor does not need Automobile or Commercial Vehicle insurance
Question: How many days does the contractor have to deliver the washer once the solicitation has been accepted?
ANSWER: The contractor will have 30 days to deliver the product to MSD. If the vendor cannot meet the deadline, a date will be mutually agreed upon for a tentative date for delivery.
Question: Can you tell me the brand/model and size of the current washer?
ANSWER: Speed Queen = brand, SC60VNV = model, 60lbs max load
Sincerely, Anthony Middleton Jr.
