RE: Responses to Vendor Questions Request for Proposal Identification: MSD FC460011 eMMA Sourcing Project Number: BPM043130 Request for Proposal Title: Athletics New Washing Machine

Dear Vendors:

On behalf of the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD), I wish to thank all of the vendors who have proposed questions pertaining to the above-captioned Request for Proposal (RFP). We are working diligently on responses for other questions asked of us but felt the need to address a couple of the proposed questions immediately.

Question: In attempting to pull together a response to the IFB, we would like to inquire about the type of electric supply at Maryland School for the Deaf. The machines designed for 240V 60Hz come in either 1 phase or 3 phase varieties. In order to most accurately quote this IFB, we would need to know more specifics about that variable.

Also, if the shipment of the machine is through a freight vendor, does information about that vendor's insurance suffice? Does our company need to additionally provide insurance such as Automobile or Commercial Vehicle?

Response:

1. The Washing Machine we are requesting a 3 phase.

2. The vendor’s insurance suffices

3. The winning vendor does not need Automobile or Commercial Vehicle insurance

Sincerely, Anthony Middleton Jr.

Tony Middleton Procurement Officer Maryland School for the Deaf Tony.middleton@msd.edu
