Responses to relevant questions from RFQ-NIAID-2131464

Question: Please CLARIFY if the list of items on the BOM is to be quoted or the list on the Sam.gov notice?

Answer: The Brand Name only list on the SAM.gov notice is a part of the list from the BOM. The items specifically spelled out in the notice’s list are the Brand Name required items. Thus, you can just quote the Bill of Materials items (which also separates the Brand Name vs Brand Name or Equal items and contains the full list of items).

Question: Can you confirm whether this line item is requesting a total of 4 speakers or 8 speakers (2 per box x4 boxes)?

Ceiling speakers (Two per box quanity)
Biamp
DESONO™ C-IC6
4

Answer: We need a total of 8 speakers. The brand we used in the past had 2 speakers per box, the qty was 4 boxes, leading to a total of 8 speakers.

Question:

With the extensive supply chain delays affecting all industries, and some of the manufacturer’s noted on the BOM (Crestron) anticipating delays of over 50 weeks, will the ultimate awardee of the contract be able to partially bill to the government as items are received and signed off on by the customer?

Answer:

The vendor will be allowed to partially bill by billing/sending invoices for the items that have been delivered and installed.

Question:

Are locks and handles required? If they want locks which color? Can you let us know so if it is a 4 bay we can get a custom request submitted?”

Answer: Locks are not required but if included should match handles / knobs. Handles at a minimum to be similar to Classic Nickel provided by Middle Atlantic. Finish and custom design to be provide for submittal prior to manufacture.
