About this file
This is a NIST Requirements Document for the procurement of a high-performance data processing server to support the Communications Technology Laboratory's Wireless Networks Division research initiatives.
NIST requires an Exxact Corporation VWS-135223847 Full-Tower Workstation or equivalent product meeting specified technical specifications. The system must include an AMD Threadripper PRO 9975WX processor (32 cores minimum) with ECC DDR5 and PCIe Gen 5 support, 512 GB minimum ECC DDR5 memory, four NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q GPUs (96 GB memory per GPU minimum), 2 TB OS storage via PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD, dual 15.36 TB enterprise NVMe SSDs with RAID 0 capability, dual 100GbE networking with dedicated out-of-band management, and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Desktop compatibility. All products must be new and unused. Delivery shall be FOB Destination within 30 days of contractor receipt of order to NIST Shipping and Receiving at 100 Bureau Drive, Building 301, Gaithersburg, MD 20899. The packing slip must include the NIST award number and Technical Point of Contact. Government inspection will occur within seven business days of receipt, focusing on visual condition, newness, and commercial operability. The contractor shall provide a three-year commercial warranty and is responsible for repair or replacement of damaged or nonconforming supplies at no cost to the Government. NIST Requirements Document Brand Name or Equal Data Processing Server
I. Background
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Communications Technology Laboratory (CTL) Wireless Networks Division (WND) performs research on artificial intelligence/machine learning, digital twins, wireless channel modeling, and multimodal data processing. In support of this work and the 2026 NIST Emerging Technologies Standards Engagement (NETSE) Program, the WND requires computational resources to process large radiofrequency, LiDAR, and vision datasets, accelerate GPU-intensive machine learning workloads, and support the development and validation of next-generation wireless technologies, including Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) and 6G systems. NIST currently owns and operates Exxact Corporation GPU Workstations. This requirement is for Exxact Corporation brand name or equivalent products.
II. Requirements
The Contractor shall provide an Exxact Corporation VWS-135223847 Full-Tower Workstation, or equivalent products, that meet or exceed the minimum technical specifications listed below. All products shall be new and unused.
• CPU: AMD Threadripper PRO 9975WX (32 cores) or equal; minimum 32 cores, ECC DDR5, and PCIe Gen 5 support
• Memory: Minimum 512 GB ECC DDR5
• GPU: 4 × NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q or equal; minimum 96 GB
GPU memory per GPU and equivalent AI/compute capability
• OS Storage: Minimum 2 TB PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD
• Data Storage: 2 × 15.36 TB enterprise NVMe SSD; RAID 0 capable
• Networking: Dual 100GbE with dedicated out-of-band/IPMI-equivalent management
• Operating System: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Desktop compatible
III. Delivery
Delivery shall be FOB Destination (or equivalent terms, such as INCOTERMS Delivered Duties Paid) and shall occur not later than (NLT) 30 days after contractor receipt of order (ARO). The packing slip shall clearly indicate the NIST award number and the NIST Technical Point of Contact associated with the order.
FOB Destination means: The contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for any loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery.
The contractor shall deliver all Line Items to:
The National Institute of Standards and Technology Shipping and Receiving 100 Bureau Drive, Building 301 Gaithersburg, MD 20899
IV. Inspection and Acceptance
