About this file
This is a Requirements Document for the replacement of a non-functional Nikon TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence) microscope system for the Laboratory of Cell and Molecular Biology (LCMB) Microscopy Core Facility at the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute (NIH/NCI).
The requirement specifies a complete Ti2E motorized microscope system with integrated components including a motorized encoded stage with fluorescence filter sets (DAPI, GFP, DS Red), Nikon E-TIRF package with barrier filter wheel, ORCA-FusionBT sCMOS camera with USB3.0 interface, NI-BB Plus analog triggered device hub, LUNF STORM multi-line laser unit (405/488/561/640 nm), motorized main and sub-branches with exchangeable mirrors, C-NSTORM Quad filter set, N-STORM magnification change unit, NIS-Elements software with six Advanced Research licenses, and a Z4 Advanced Imaging Workstation with Thunderbolt and 31.5-inch 4K display. The contractor must reintegrate existing components at no additional cost, including a CFI60 Apochromat TIRF 100X Oil Immersion Objective Lens, MCL 100 micrometer piezo nanopositioner, EMCCD camera, additional filter sets, and existing software licenses. Delivery must occur within 90-120 days after award to the LCMB facility in Bethesda, Maryland. Installation must be completed within 14 days of delivery and include full optical alignment, integration of all components, verification of system performance to manufacturer specifications, and onsite training for LCMB Microscopy Core personnel on complete system operation. The designated NCI Project Officer is Sandeep Pallikkuth.
