About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) from the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs for aviary service at the Illinois Veterans Home - Quincy for fiscal year 2019 with a 1-year renewal option. The RFQ seeks quotes for providing service to six aviaries in various buildings at the home, including tasks such as stocking birds, performing health inspections, trimming beaks/nails, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintaining equipment. Vendors must provide references and MSDS reports, and agree to provide education and training as needed. The contract term is from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, with pricing for the optional second year to be mutually agreed upon. Pricing must be valid for 180 days, include shipping, and cannot increase during the contract term. The state reserves the right to reject any or all offers.
The RFQ outlines specific pricing requirements, including that quoted prices must be for new products with a minimum 1-year warranty, and that the state is guaranteed the lowest price in the event of a decrease. No set-asides or other special considerations are mentioned. The winning vendor will be selected based on the lowest total bid for all requested services.
