About this file

This is a Request for Quote issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for factory-authorized maintenance training courses for the Beech King Air 350 aircraft. IDOT seeks a qualified vendor to provide two primary training programs: King Air 350 Initial Maintenance Training, covering aircraft systems, components, inspection procedures, and standard maintenance practices, and King Air 350 Engine Run and Taxi Training, focusing on engine operation, ground handling, and regulatory compliance. The training must meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements and industry standards and include both classroom and practical instruction as appropriate. Training shall be scheduled at the convenience of the Agency, with a proposed schedule of two classes in Year 1 and one class in Year 2 for each course, totaling six classes across both training programs.

Vendors must provide factory-authorized training delivered by instructors certified and authorized by the aircraft manufacturer or an approved training provider, along with proof of factory authorization and instructor credentials. Pricing must be submitted as all-inclusive per-class costs covering instruction, instructor travel, on-site delivery, and any additional fees, with separate line items for each course and year. Award determination will be based on compliance with mandatory requirements, verification of factory-authorized status, vendor qualifications and experience, and ability to meet scheduling flexibility needs. IDOT reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, request additional information, and negotiate terms in its best interest.
