About this file
The document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Randolph County Board of Commissioners in Georgia for exclusive ambulance services within Randolph County. The RFP seeks an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service provider to deliver emergency medical services across the county's approximately 429 square miles, which includes the cities of Cuthbert and Shellman. The contract requires the provider to maintain three ALS-level ambulances, operate 24/7/365, and respond to 911 calls with a five-minute response time in Cuthbert. The initial contract term is one year, with potential renewal for up to two additional one-year terms, and the RFP submission deadline is June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
The ambulance service provider will be responsible for all operational costs, including administration, insurance, vehicles, equipment, and staffing, with at least two qualified healthcare professionals per ambulance. The provider can charge patients for services and will handle all billing and collection functions. While the county desires to pay no subsidy, the RFP allows for potential monthly subsidies, which must be clearly outlined in the proposal. The provider must also maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including $1 million in general liability, $1 million in auto liability, $2 million in professional liability, and $3 million in umbrella liability, with Randolph County named as an additional insured. A $100,000 performance bond is required to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
