About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Corunna School District for a Livestock Facility project. The project involves updating the interior wall coverings, replacing the large sliding door with either a manual sliding or overhead garage door, and removing and replacing a load-bearing beam in the large barn. The project also includes tree, stump, and root removal that is impacting the septic tank and eavestroughs. The scope of work includes replacing the steel interior wall coverings with plastic halfway up, replacing the current manual sliding door, and removing and replacing a load-bearing column in the center of the barn. Vendors should have a minimum of 10 years of experience, be licensed and insured, and be located within a 60-mile radius. The total price for the project should not exceed $30,000, and preference will be given to vendors with experience working with agriscience programs and/or available references.

The RFP specifies that the quote should include an itemization of the work, timeline, cost of materials, labor, and the cost difference between a manual and electrical opening for the barn door. A warranty on the work is also required. The contract opportunity is associated with the state of Michigan and the jurisdictions of Shiawassee County and Crystal Falls City.
