About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) seeking market research on systems that provide ballistic data and shot placement for small caliber (≤.50 Cal) testing at a Weapons Test Facility. The government requires a system that can capture bullet flight, muzzle velocity, accuracy, and muzzle energy data from fully automatic weapons in an indoor range up to 50m. The system must be operable by less than three personnel and capable of exporting data to Windows computers, preferably to common software like Excel.
The RFI includes a Contractor Capability Survey requiring respondents to provide business information and answer questions about their capabilities, experience, and commercial practices. Responses are due by March 24 at 3:00 PM EST and must be submitted via email to the listed contracting specialists. The government has determined this is a commercial item requirement, with no set-aside decisions made yet. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, including through joint ventures or teaming arrangements. Small businesses are specifically asked to identify potential areas that could be broken out exclusively for small business participation. The government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this market research effort.

3. ATTENTION: SMALL BUSINESS RESPONDENTS who are interested in participation for this effort:
