About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the United States Air Force (USAF) to conduct market research for potential suppliers of a VXI to PXIe Converter Chassis to support the Advanced Test Equipment Modernization (ATEM) effort. The specific hardware required is Part Number PXIe03 with a configuration of 3 VXI slots and 8 PXIe slots, including a controller but no instruments. The Government does not own or possess source data, drawings, or schematics for the item, and contractors proposing equivalent hardware must clearly define mitigation strategies for obtaining proprietary information.
Responses must be submitted electronically via email to jonathan.riggins.2@us.af.mil and michael.carter.78@us.af.mil within 15 days of RFI posting, with files uploaded to a DoD SAFE Site. All submissions are limited to 10 MB in readable formats (Word, PDF, Excel). The RFI requires contractors to complete a Contractor Capability Survey addressing business information (company details, CAGE code, business classification status), general capabilities (ATE chassis experience with VXI and PXIe architectures, product availability confirmation, lead times, existing GWAC or GSA Schedule offerings, technical support capability), manufacturing and supply chain management (parts obsolescence mitigation, warranty terms), and business practices (supply chain management, quality assurance, counterfeit prevention, shipping procedures, and technical documentation delivery). Participation in this market research survey does not guarantee participation in future solicitations or contract awards, and the Government will not reimburse response costs. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, with joint ventures and teaming arrangements permitted.
