About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command seeking market research for the production, testing, and repair services of the LAU-118(V)4/A launcher, which is used to launch AGM-88 HARM missiles from F-15 and F-16 aircraft. The anticipated requirement is for a five-year contract (base plus four option years) with Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) of 49 units initially. Critical safety items include a special purpose branched electrical cable assembly (P/N 704AS4008) and spring cartridge assembly (P/N 704AS4005).
Responses are due by January 2 at 3:00 PM EST and must be submitted to the specified contracting officers via email. The opportunity falls under NAICS code 336413 and no foreign participation is allowed. While no set-aside determination has been made, small businesses are encouraged to respond and demonstrate capabilities through teaming arrangements if necessary. Contractors must detail their manufacturing, repair, and engineering capabilities through an extensive capability survey covering quality assurance processes, facility capacity, past performance, and technical expertise. The government owns technical data and maintains configuration control, and the system is not considered a commercial item.
