Request for Information - Aircraft Fuel Boost Pump Repair
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) and market research solicitation for depot-level repair services of Aircraft Fuel Boost Pumps (Part Number 62218-1, NSN 1680-01-531-2588SO) used on HC-130J and MC-130J aircraft. The Government seeks to identify potential repair sources possessing overhaul data, expertise, and capabilities to meet qualification requirements. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is Eaton Corporation (CAGE 86090). The pumps carry a Repair Method Code (RMC/RMSC) of "R3/R," indicating the Government does not own repair data and has determined it uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the component. The assets are classified as non-commercial items.
The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) Requirements contract comprising a basic period plus four annual ordering periods for a total of five years, with anticipated award in FY27. Delivery location is To Be Determined (TBD), with repaired assets due 60 days after receipt of order or repairable assets, whichever is later. Contractors must furnish all materials, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services, including maintaining and calibrating all support equipment. Replacement materials or parts must equal or exceed original quality. The RFP will be posted to SAM.GOV with electronic submission only; all questions must be submitted in writing to Teresa Smith (PCO) at Teresa.smith.16@us.af.mil and Torey McClain (Logistics Manager) at Torey.McClain@us.af.mil. Small business respondents are encouraged to participate, and the Government will analyze small business responses to determine final contracting strategy; no set-aside decision has been made. Responses to the Contractor Capability Survey (Parts I and II) must be submitted by the closing date specified in the solicitation, with data in readable electronic format not exceeding 10 MB per email.
