About this file
This is a reference document on ACM (Asbestos-Containing Materials) compliance procedures applicable to the Gonyea Playfield project in Washington State. The document provides guidance on identifying, managing, and remediating asbestos-containing materials that may be encountered during site preparation, demolition, or construction activities associated with the playfield improvements. The document establishes protocols for contractors and project teams to follow when ACM is suspected or discovered, including notification requirements, testing procedures, and documentation standards. The scope addresses the identification of materials that may contain asbestos, assessment methodologies, and the steps necessary to ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
The reference document outlines the regulatory framework and procedural requirements that bidders and contractors must understand and incorporate into their project proposals and execution plans for the Gonyea Playfield improvements. Compliance with ACM regulations is a mandatory requirement for all work performed on the site, and contractors must demonstrate their ability to manage potential asbestos issues appropriately. The document serves as a reference tool to ensure that all parties involved in the project understand their obligations regarding asbestos identification, handling, removal, and disposal in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Failure to properly address ACM compliance could result in project delays, additional costs, and regulatory penalties.
