About this file

This is a Memorandum for Use of Other Than Full and Open Competition for an Acquisition Under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The document details a procurement for fire main valve controls from Crane ChemPharma & Energy, with a required delivery date of 9/30/2025. The procurement is justified through multiple rationales, including proprietary rights to valve drawings, critical ship equipment requirements, and standardization needs. Specifically, the valves must be Grade "A" shock-qualified in accordance with MIL-S-901, with a specific make/model number of 16JG57Z31X, compatible with existing T-AKE Class vessel equipment. The only identified vendor capable of providing these components is Valve Automation & Controls- W&O, and the procurement is being processed under simplified acquisition procedures.
