About this file
This is a Quick Quote document from Collier County, Florida, specifically the Wastewater Division, seeking a contractor for Reclaimed Water Ground Storage Tank Cleaning and Inspection. The project involves cleaning and inspecting seven ground storage tanks located at different sites including Countryside, Foxfire, Glades, Royal Palm, and three Pelican Bay locations, with tank capacities ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 million gallons. The project is a one-time purchase with work to be performed during 7:00am to 5:30pm hours, with a response submission deadline of March 26, 2025 at 12:00am. The contractor must use a diver-assisted vacuum system to clean up to 4" of soft, silty sediment, provide comprehensive inspection and reporting, and adhere to strict safety and environmental regulations, including confined space entry protocols and proper waste disposal.
The pricing structure is based on a lump sum for each tank location, with the county selecting the responsive vendor with the lowest quote. Significant insurance requirements are mandated, including $1,000,000 in workers' compensation, employer's liability, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and pollution coverage. The contractor must provide a detailed final report within ten business days of inspection, including work summaries, unexpected issues, Florida State P.E. signed inspection reports, and recommendations for future tank cleaning. Payment is contingent on county staff's written approval of the inspection and final report, with potential payment delays if work site conditions are not maintained to the county's satisfaction.
