About this file

This file contains an email exchange regarding the Technology Gateway Program (TECHGATE), a Department of State federal grant opportunity under the Cyberspace and Digital Policy program (CFDA 19.665). The program aims to foster large-scale cyber and digital technology knowledge transfer by encouraging eligible foreign governments to adopt trusted American digital solutions, with a key focus on capacity building and economic sustainability in technology procurement and implementation.

Eligible applicants include nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (excluding higher education institutions), for-profit organizations (non-small businesses), and Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDCs). The grant will be issued as a cooperative agreement, supporting U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives by helping recipient countries develop skills in requirements identification, procurement, logistics, deployment, and configuration. The program is administered by the Department of State's Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, with potential award amounts ranging from $500,000 to $25 million and performance periods of 18 to 36 months.

Hello Jon, Thank you for your interest in the TECHGATE funding opportunity (DFOP0017381). Eligible applicants include nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; for profit organizations other than small businesses non-for-profit; and Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDC) organizations.

Thank you.

You don't often get email from peha@cmu.edu. Learn why this is important

Are institutions of higher education that have 501(c)(3) status eligible for an award under this NOFO?

There appears to be a contradiction between the eligibility info at https://grants.gov/search-results-detail/360102 and the eligibility info in the NOFO itself.
