QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. There are many types of phosphor materials.

A - White phosphors that may be a result of dismantling of CRT’s.

2. What are the analytes to be requested when sampling for phosphors during year 3?

A - Vendor should design to satisfy OSHA requirements and describe their plan in their bid.

3. With a request to perform air monitoring for beryllium, silica and phospors in year 3, and because the number of air samples remains the same for each year, does this mean that these substitute for some/all of the metals monitoring in years 1 & 2?

A - No, this testing will be in addition to the year 1 & year 2 testing. Vendor should design to satisfy OSHA requirements and describe their plan in their bid.

4. With 5 locations having buildings both inside and outside the fence line, how quickly can the CIH move in and out of these areas? Any delay in transitioning between the two will add time to complete the monitoring.

A - CIH should expect 20-30 minutes processing time into each building each time they enter.

5. Page 8 - Testing Required for Year 3 (2025), has additional samples to be analyzed for beryllium, silica dust, and phosphorus compounds. Can you please clarify if the number of samples requiring additional analysis (Be, silica, phosphorus) is the same as the lead, cadmium and mercury quantities provided in the Tables from page 9 to 10? Also, are all samples to be taken from the same individual? If so, each individual will have to wear four (4) different sampling pumps during sample collection.

A - see question 3 above for answer.

6. Can we access the "Camp" and Inside the Fence" buildings at the same time?

A - You can access them on the same day, but they are two different locations on the same property, so access at the same time would be hard for one CIH.

7. Is it possible for us to get a 1-week extension to submit a complete proposal once the questions have been answered?

A - Extended until 12/28/22 at 2:00 pm
