About this file

The Screven County School System is seeking proposals for a radio system upgrade through a Request for Proposal (RFP) for its county-wide school district. The RFP solicits qualified proposers to provide equipment, materials, labor, insurance, and supervision to replace the current Motorola Connect Plus radio system with a Motorola Capacity Plus or equivalent system. Key project requirements include removing old equipment, installing new equipment, licensing new frequencies under the Board of Education, programming 88 portable and mobile radios, guaranteeing county-wide coverage, and integrating the new system with the County's 911 center and other county agencies' P-25 system. Sealed proposals will be received until 10:00 AM local time on June 20th, 2025, at 611 Pine Street, Sylvania, GA 30467, with site visits available by appointment only.

The school system will award the contract on a stipulated sum basis, considering factors beyond just the lowest price, including proposal completeness, qualifications, ability to complete work within the specified timeframe, references, insurance coverage, and e-verify compliance. Proposers must have a minimum of five years of experience in the related field and demonstrate successful completion of at least five similar or larger projects. The RFP requires proposers to submit a list of three references, copies of liability and workers' compensation insurance, a Contractor Affidavit, and any additional materials that might help demonstrate their capability to perform the proposed project. Proposals may not be withdrawn for 45 days after receipt, and the school system reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and waive technicalities.
