About this file
This is a Work Write-Up document from the City of Jackson, Michigan, for a residential roof and gutter replacement project located at 731 Woodlawn. The project involves stripping and replacing the roof on both the home and garage, along with installing new gutters on the home. Specific work includes removing existing shingles and felt, repairing roof framing, installing oriented-strand board sheathing, applying ice shield, adding new architectural shingles, and implementing a new gutter system. The project requires a permit and calls for approximately 18 linear feet of home roof replacement, 8 linear feet of garage roof replacement, and 210 linear feet of gutter work. The work is to be completed according to Michigan Building Code standards, with the homeowner selecting the shingle color.
The contract opportunity is being managed through the City of Jackson's e-Procurement Portal, with proposals to be received by Purchasing Coordinator Kari Kerstetter. The project is subject to various civil rights regulations and non-discrimination policies. While no pre-bid meeting is scheduled, contractors may contact the homeowner to assess the property. The document does not specify exact pricing, but indicates that contractors will be responsible for final measurements and must adhere to specific installation requirements, including using appropriate materials, maintaining proper roof pitch, and ensuring proper water diversion from the foundation.
