About this file

This is a Work Write-Up document from the City of Jackson Community Development Department in Jackson, Michigan, detailing residential rehabilitation work for a property located at 711 Third Street. The project encompasses multiple scope elements including installing three smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, performing carpentry repairs to basement stairs and kitchen flooring, and completing a comprehensive roof replacement and gutter system upgrade. The work involves stripping the existing roof, installing new 7/16" oriented-strand board sheathing, applying ice shield, installing architectural shingles, and replacing approximately 120 linear feet of gutters and 60 linear feet of downspouts.

The project appears to be funded through a community development program, with competitive sealed bids sought from qualified contractors. Bidders must be registered on Sam.gov, possess appropriate licensing, and obtain necessary permits. The work write-up indicates that the project will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder, with specific technical requirements including manufacturer's installation guidelines, Michigan Building Code compliance, and specific material specifications. While no explicit budget is listed, the detailed scope suggests a comprehensive rehabilitation effort targeting critical home infrastructure improvements for a program-qualified homeowner.
