About this file

This document is a technical specification for a state and local contract opportunity issued by the Illinois Department of Forensic Science (DFS) to upgrade the camera CPU systems at the Metro-East laboratory. The scope of work includes providing and installing 35 single-camera IP licenses, 10 exterior 4MP IR dome cameras, a 102 terabyte video server, and associated cabling, mounting, and training. The project requires uninstall, relocation, and reinstallation of 35 interior cameras. No proprietary equipment or software is permitted, and the use of third-party vendors is prohibited. A site visit is scheduled for May 27, 2021 at 2:00pm.

The contract does not include security monitoring services. All equipment includes manufacturers' warranties, and the installation warranty is for at least 12 months after completion. The project will be awarded to a single vendor, and pricing terms, set-asides, and funding sources are not provided in the specification. The current camera system uses IQeye brand equipment, and the new system must be compatible with the existing infrastructure.
