About this file

This document is a Change Order Notice issued by the Illinois Chief Procurement Office General Services for a Joint Purchase Master Contract (JPMC) to extend the term of a contract for Salt Liquid Solutions. The contract, originally awarded for $799,884.00, enables state agencies and qualified non-profits to purchase salt liquid solutions. The extension will allow an additional three months, from December 3, 2020 to March 3, 2021, to complete the competitive solicitation process for a new contract. This is the first contract extension, and it will allow users to continue leveraging the state's buying power without interruption.

The extension is a time-only change with no additional cost. The total spend on the contract since inception is $60,002.82. This extension is necessary to avoid a lapse in coverage for the product while the new solicitation is completed.

This Change Order Notice provides detail as to why the change order is needed and, pursuant to Section 33E-9 of the Criminal Code, that the circumstances said to necessitate the change in performance were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed or the change is germane to the original contract as signed. Change orders are defined by Section 1-15.12 of the Procurement Code and Section 1.2067 of the CPO-GS' Administrative Rules.
