About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for the State of Illinois regarding contractor-provided radiation calibration training services. The agency requires two distinct onsite training courses to be delivered in Springfield, Illinois. The first course, Gamma Reference Field Calibration Training, shall be provided to five participants and will cover gamma radiation reference field calibration in accordance with ISO 4037-2019, IEEE/ANSI N42.32-3AB-2026, and ANSI N42.17A-2003 standards. This course will include classroom instruction and hands-on calibration activities addressing topics such as equipment requirements, radionuclide characteristics, detector positioning, electrometer and ionization chamber usage, measurement procedures, and uncertainty estimation. The second course, Calibration Training for Hand-Held Portable Radiation Instruments and Dosimetry, shall accommodate up to twenty-four participants and will provide in-depth instruction on portable radiation detection instrument and personnel dosimetry calibration practices, including coverage of ANSI N42.32-3AB-2026, ANSI N42.17A-2003, ANSI N13.11-2022, and NCRP Report No. 112 standards.
For both courses, the contractor shall provide all instructional materials in printed or electronic format, documentation of course completion for all participants, and qualified instructors with demonstrated expertise in radiation calibration and applicable standards. The Scope of Work does not specify response dates, due dates, site visits, bidder's meetings, award dates, contract term, or renewal options. No pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, funding sources, or amounts are identified in this document.
