About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines engine repair services for an R-11 Aircraft refueler at Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE). The contract (06L00656) requires a vendor to repair an engine with a damaged cam sensor caused by a worn-out camshaft, involving specific materials including a camshaft, connecting rods, and bearing kits. The repair process includes towing the vehicle to the vendor's repair facility, completing comprehensive engine repairs, testing the vehicle to ensure it meets OEM specifications, and returning the vehicle to JBLE.

Key requirements include the vendor providing all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, and transportation for the repair. The job is considered urgent to prevent mission degradation for aircraft refueling operations. Transportation logistics specify the vendor will use a wrecker service to transport the vehicle, and after repairs, the 633 LRS Vehicle Management will drive the vehicle back to the base. The SOW also includes standard federal contracting provisions such as zero-tolerance policies for human trafficking and guidelines for managing potential organizational conflicts of interest.
