TextField2: OSFM has hired for the following roles and each role must have a vehicle. Those positions include:
1 Elevator Inspectors 1 Fire Certification Specialist 1 Chief Operating Officer 1 Director of Fire Service Outreach
TextField4: OSFM was able to fill the roles timely and the master contracts available would need time for delivery, and we have the option to have our needs met at a lower cost to the state.
ExplanationForSelectingVendor: Morrow Brothers was/is responsive, provides the best value, and can deliver immediately.
ExplanationSuppliesServices: Morrow Brothers will provide 4 Ford Hybrid Explorers.
TextField3: OSFM reviewed the two master contracts that have SUVS as an option. 22-416CMS-BOSS4-P-41049 is for police pursuit SUVS and the other master, 24-416CMS-BOSS4-P-63043, is for electric SUVS. OSFM thought it would be best to seek quotes from other vendors to see if we could find a better price, and we did. Morrow Brothers, Landmark, and Bob Ridings was contacted. Landmark responded (via email, please see comm. in file) and stated that they have 0 hybrid/flex fuel on their lot. We then contacted Landmark (via email, please see comm. in file) and they stated they had 1 SUV equivalent and we need 4. Morrow Brothers has 4 hybrid SUVS that are cheaper than the master price value and are ready to deliver.
TextField1: A search of BEP database yielded zero BEP vendors for vehicles under NIGP Code 071-80. There is no opportunity to include Business Enterprise Program contractors on this purchase. The current Master Contract did not contain a BEP subcontracting goal requirement nor are there any BEP vendors registered under NIGP Code 071-80.
