About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFP 21-PRF01 issued by the City of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department for the resurfacing of Orfan Park tennis and basketball courts. Proposals were due on February 19, 2021, at 2:00 PM. The RFP was posted on DemandStar and VendorNet, with answers to bidder questions posted between February 8 and 12, 2021. The project site includes four gates at each corner of the tennis courts, each approximately 4 feet wide by 8 feet tall, with water access available from a shelter with hose bibs located approximately 250 feet from the courts. The scope of services includes an optional item for applying fiberglass mesh to the entire court area to prevent surface splitting, though the City does not provide specifications for this optional work and encourages contractors to recommend this solution if appropriate.
Businesses qualify for local preference if they maintain a physical address within the City of Sun Prairie limits. The City did not provide additional scoring details beyond what is stated in the RFP documents, and the bid due date was not extended. No specifications were available for the optional fiberglass mesh application; the City presented this as a possible solution identified during research and encouraged proposers to include recommendations and pricing for this item in their proposals if deemed a viable repair option.
