About this file
This is a Questions and Clarifications document issued by the Georgia Building Authority (GBA) for Invitation to Bid No. 900-22-1018 regarding the Law Building Parking Deck Repairs Project (Project No. 2306544). The project involves repair work on a cast-in-place concrete parking deck structure located at 244 Washington Street, SW in Atlanta, Georgia. Required repairs include patching of spalled concrete, cleaning and patching of exposed reinforcement, epoxy-injection in cracks penetrating the full depth of concrete slabs and members, and repairing or replacing existing deteriorated patches. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk-through were held on February 24, 2022. All bidders were required to provide examples of three previous projects of similar scope. The project has no specified time schedule for completion, and contractors are permitted to work any hours. The deck will be closed to the public during work, with two parking spaces outside the roll-up door designated for contractor dumpster use and worker parking.
Shoring work is required to be engineered as part of the project scope. Bidders must structure pricing to cover only the repairs specifically identified in the provided plans, with the option to include pricing for additional repairs beyond those identified with specific quantities and linear or square footage measurements. This approach ensures all bids are comparable on an apples-to-apples basis. The Georgia Procurement Registry serves as the official source for bid documents and project information, with interested firms directed to monitor the registry regularly for updates.

INVITATION TO BID NO. 900-22-1018
GEORGIA BUILDING AUTHORITY
PROJECT NO. 2306544
Law Building Parking Deck Repairs
Project Questions and Clarifications 3.18.2022
1. “Is it possible, in order for all bids to be accurate and “apples to apples”, that the bid form and pricing be limited to repairs that are specifically identified and indicated in the plans provided in the bid manual? Pricing could also include specific quantities for additional repairs beyond those identified (i.e. - 100LF epoxy injection, 50 SF of spall repair). This should be pricing only on noted issues.
2. “Is the shoring required to be engineered?” YES
3. “Will work hours be limited in any way?” - NO
4. “Will the deck be closed down for our work? If so, will our workers be allowed to park in the deck? “YES
5. The two spaces outside the roll up door will be available for the contractor to utilize for a dumpster.
6. There is no time schedule to be in or out. Contractor can work any hours.
