About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers document related to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Office of the Secretary of State of Illinois for various types of office seating to be used in facilities throughout the state. The IFB lists acceptable chair models for executive offices, specifies that all chairs will be shipped to the same location, and allows vendors to propose alternative chair models that meet the minimum specifications, though alternative options are not necessarily encouraged. The IFB also indicates that some of the originally specified chair models have been discontinued and provides guidance on acceptable substitutions.

Regarding pricing, the award will be made to the vendor with the lowest responsive and responsible bid. There are no specific budget constraints mentioned, and the IFB does not indicate any set-aside requirements or the existence of an incumbent vendor. The document does not provide details on the funding sources or amounts for this procurement.
