About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a mobile kitchen replacement contract opportunity for the Nevada Division of Forestry. The contract requires a mobile kitchen with a steel frame and chassis, a dual-wiring electrical system with an inverter option, an aluminum LP gas cage with venting, and NSF-rated appliances. The agency has not yet provided a layout for the mobile kitchen, but expects the vendor to provide one for approval. The contract opportunity is located in Carson City, Nevada.

The document indicates the agency prefers a steel frame and chassis due to the terrain, and requires the electrical system to have a dual-wiring option to plug into a land connection or be permanently connected to a generator. The agency also requires an aluminum LP gas cage with venting, as well as NSF-rated appliances. The agency has not provided a layout for the mobile kitchen, and expects the vendor to submit one for approval.

Sheet1

Do they Require an Aluminum Trailer Frame & Chassis or is a Steel Frame & Chassis acceptable? steel due to strength based off the terrain we operate in, of course much heavier.
Will there be an option for the Electrical System to plug into a land connection or is it to be permanently connected to the generator? Power would be best dual wiring option with an inverter if possible.
Do they require enclosed LP Cages with venting or metal/aluminum cages? LP Cages Yes, aluminum cage with venting
Do they require NSF rated appliances? Or is commercial grade adequate? NSF standard
Is there a Layout available? We have not seen any layouts that’s what we are hoping the vendor will provide we do not want to approve anything until we see a lay out
