About this file

This is a Questions and Responses document for RFQ 0692 issued by the State of Maine for the procurement of industrial cleaning products. The solicitation seeks three distinct chemical products: D-limonene (600 pails), Biodiesel Asphalt Remover (200 pails), and Slip & Slide (600 pails). The products will be ordered on an as-needed basis, typically in quantities of one to two pallets at a time, with all shipments to be sent prepaid to the Fleet Services Warehouse in Augusta, Maine. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available from the issuing agency for product specification and matching purposes.

The incumbent contractor is Larry Arch, with Wedor Corporation identified as the current product manufacturer. The State of Maine's payment terms typically operate on a net 30-day cycle, though payment may extend to 45 days or longer if vendors submit partial shipments. Vendors are advised that concentrate levels for the chemicals are detailed in the MSDS documentation referenced in the response to the first question. Prospective bidders should submit competitive pricing that accounts for shipping costs and anticipated pallet-based order frequencies to ensure the most advantageous pricing for the State.
