About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for DQ2027-13, an airfield signage project for Taxiway Zulu at Buckley Air Force Station in Colorado under the oversight of the Colorado Office of the Adjutant General. The project involves the replacement of airfield sign cabinets, with three primary sign types (Signs 3, 4, and 5) maintaining dimensions similar to existing installations, while Signs 4 and 5 may be reduced in length depending on new legend requirements as determined by the sign manufacturer, ADB/Safegate. Only one new foundation and support structure is required for installation—specifically for Sign #1 located west of Zulu Pad—with structural specifications detailed in project documentation previously provided during the pre-bid walk. A plan holder list and sign-in sheet are available to interested bidders upon request.

The estimated project cost is under $50,000. Union labor is not a requirement for this project, nor does the contracting agency mandate union participation across any of its projects. All sign specifications and dimensions are outlined in the sign cut-sheets and presentation slides provided during the pre-bidding site visit, ensuring bidders have access to complete technical information necessary to prepare accurate proposals.
