About this file
This document appears to be a Questions and Answers document related to a contract opportunity with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The contract involves an online course for renewal license applicants, with an average of 45,000 completions per month. Applicants require access to the course and their completion certificate/records until they complete the renewal requirements. The DMV handles notification of license expirations through various channels. The vendor is expected to provide expertise in the solution's functionality and sufficient scale to eliminate outages, while Tier 1 support for applicants will be addressed by the DMV.
The document provides some additional details about the course, such as its size being unknown, and that applicants are required to complete one course with 7 modules. The vendor is expected to have the capability to handle the volume of course completions and provide support as needed, while the DMV retains responsibility for direct applicant support.

Questions & Answers
How many total Renewal license applicants completed the online course in the past 12 months?
On average there are 45,000 completions per month.
How many are expected to complete the online course during each year of the contract?
On average there are 45,000 completions per month.
Do these applicants require continued access to the course and their completion certificate/records?
No. They require access until they complete all requirements for renewal and are renewed.
Does the State expect the system to remind users of upcoming expirations?
I'm not sure what the context of this is, does it refer to renewal of license or completion of eLearnig. If so, there are email reminders to complete the course. There is nothing more that is needed. What “expirations” does this question refer to? If it is a question about Driver’s License expiration, DMV handles notification through mail, email, the DL/ID Status Application, and the customer’s MyDMV account.
How large is the course (size in MB)? UNK‐ Totara should have this information. How many courses are the applicants required to complete? one course with 7 modules.
Please confirm that Tier 1 (applicant) support will be addressed by CA DMV and not the vendor.
This should not change. CORRECT, but the vendor is expected to have expertise in how the solution works in case of outage and is expected to provide enough scale to eliminate outages.
