About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing clarifications regarding a federal conference room technology integration project. The document does not specify required products or services, response dates, award dates, pricing terms, set asides, or federal agencies involved, as it functions solely as a clarification mechanism for an ongoing procurement.

The Q&A addresses the configuration and placement of computing equipment and connectivity within a conference room facility. Key clarifications include: wall plate laptop input plates at a credenza can be designated as dedicated NIPR, SIPR, or either classification; BYOD laptop connections at the conference room table support single input/single display configuration with capability for up to three laptops, expandable to dual input/dual display with a dock introduction; table connections are network-agnostic but programmable for dedicated SIPR or NIPR classification; a NATO BIDES dedicated PC and CENTRIXS laptop will be located in a portioned rear room (10'x19') separate from the main conference room (27'x19'); the integrator has not supplied additional architectural connectivity such as cable cubbies at the conference table; the rooms can function as separate or combined spaces with computer output routable to any display. Facility specifications indicate drop ceiling construction, drywall walls, concrete flooring beneath the conference room table, no white noise generation requirement, and confirmation that this represents a new contract.

Q1.) Are the (2) wall plate laptop input plates at the credenza location (item c) for either the NIPR or SIPR laptops that are mentioned in item (a.) and item (b.) or are they in addition to those items?

A1.) Yes, the wall plate connections at the top of the rack can either be NIPR or SIPR. We can make them a dedicated NIPR and dedicated SIPR connection, if requested.

Q2.) If they are for one of those laptops, should the other laptop also have wall plate input plates, or is that not how the Government wants to handle that?

A2.) We can designate the wall plates as any classification.

Q3.) Are the (3) BYOD laptop connections at the conference room table (item d.) “single display” or “dual display” connections?

A3.) The laptop connections at the table are single inputs/single display into the system. The system has the ability for up to (3) laptops at the table. If a dock is introduced, two of the connections can be made and have it utilized as a dual input/dual display configuration.

Q4.) As those (table) connections are for laptops, do we know what network those laptops will be on?

A4.) The laptop connections at the table are agnostic but can be programmed to be as a dedicated SIPR or NIPR classification. It can be any classification you need it to be.

Q5.) Is architectural connectivity (such as cable cubbies) existing at the conference room table, or should those be provided by the integrator?

A5.) I am not aware if there are currently any cubbies integrated into the table. This is a question answered by the end user. As the integrator, we have not supplied any additional cubbies.

Q6.) For items (h.) and (i.) does “rear room” mean the rear of the room mentioned in items (a.) thru (g.) or is that a reference to some other room?

A6.) Items (a.) – (j.) refences the pc/laptops/connections the main front portion of the room. Items (h.) – (k.) are the laptop connections in the portioned off room in the rear of the room. The rooms can function as two separate rooms, or as a combined room, where any computer can be sent to any display.

Q7.) Where will the laptops mentioned in (h.) and (i.) be physically located? (On a table, on a desk, in a rack)?

A7.) Items (h.) – (k.) are the laptop connections in the portioned off room in the rear of the room.

Q8.) Is the NATO (BIDES) computer a laptop or a dedicated PC?

A8.) A dedicated PC.

Q9.) If laptop, where will it be located?

A9.) PC

Q10.) If PC, where will it be located?

A10.) In the portioned off room in the rear of the room.

Q11.) Is the CENTRIXS computer a laptop or a dedicated PC?

A11.) Laptop.

Q12.) If laptop, where will it be located?

A12.) In the portioned off room in the rear of the room.

Q13.) If PC, where will it be located?

A13.) Laptop.

Q14.) What are the dimensions (LxWxH) of the room?

A14.) The main room is 27’x19’. The room in the rear is 10’x19’.

Q15.) What is the ceiling composed of (hung, sheetrock, open) in the room?

A15.) Drop ceiling.

Q16.) What are the walls composed of (sheetrock, concrete, something else) in the room?

A16.) Drywall.

Q17.) Is there a floor core beneath the conference room table?

A17.) Yes Concrete.

Q18.) Is white noise generation required outside the conference room.

A18.) No.

Q19.) Is this a new contract?

A19.) Yes.
