About this file

The document "Questions_and_Answers.docx" relates to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) Janitorial Services RFP for the Tuscaloosa County Health Department. The RFP seeks a comprehensive janitorial services contractor for a 43,416 square foot facility, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM CT. Proposals are due by Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM CT, and the contract will be established for an initial 12-month period with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods. The Q&A document clarifies specific scope details, including vendor responsibilities for furniture movement during floor cleaning, confirming that chairs, mats, waste baskets, and rugs will be relocated, while larger items like desks and file cabinets will remain in place.

The RFP evaluation will be conducted on a 100-point scale, with 50% weighted on total cost, 30% on experience and qualifications, and 20% on references. Contractors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including $1,000,000 in general liability and professional liability insurance, and comply with workers' compensation requirements. No subcontracting will be permitted, and the contractor must supply all necessary equipment and materials, with ADPH providing consumable items like paper towels and toilet tissue. The contract includes performance monitoring provisions, potential deductions for unsatisfactory work, and mandates weekly performance meetings during the first month of service. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM CT to the specified email address.
