About this file
This document is an Addendum #1 to a Request for Bids (RFB) issued by the State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service for the procurement of 10' x 14' three-sided cedar camping shelters. The addendum provides clarification on the grade of cedar lumber required, which is Grade 1 with no knots. It also specifies the footing requirements, stating that the shelter will be set on 10'x10'x14" and 10'x10'x12" beams, and that this should be included in the bidder's price. The RFB is for a statewide contract, and the specifications indicate the shelters will have a shed roof measuring 7 feet in the back and 9.7 feet in the front, with 7 feet of that being open.
The pricing for this contract will be firm-fixed, and bidders should include the footing requirements in their bids. The contract term and any renewal options are not provided in the information given.

ADDENDUM #1 – eMMA# -BPM040946
STATEWIDE
10’ x 14’ THREE-SIDED CEDAR CAMPING SHELTERS
Question Received via e-Mail.
1. Q: Question 1: What grade cedar lumber? Number one clear (with no knots) or Number two with knots?
A: Grade 1 no knots
2. Q: What are the footing requirements? Does this need to be included with our bid?
A: Shelter will be set on 10'X10'X14' by 10'X10'X12' Beams. Yes, please include in the bid.
Note: This would be a shed roof measuring 7 ft in the back and 9.7 ft in the front with 7 ft of that open? Depending on the company the logs have different diameters so they will need to know the height to have an accurate bid.
