About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a state and local contract opportunity for JPMC GLOVES, EXAM AND DISPOSABLE SBSA in the state of Illinois. The questions pertain to the minimum acceptable finger thickness for nitrile exam gloves, with the initial answer clarifying that the "4-5 MIL" specification is the requirement, not the minimum. Subsequent questions and answers further confirm that the 4-5 MIL requirement applies to the overall glove thickness, not just the finger thickness.

The contract opportunity appears to be for the procurement of nitrile exam and disposable gloves by the state of Illinois. While the document does not provide details on the overall scope, quantities, or timelines for this procurement, it does indicate that the contract is managed at the state and local level.

Questions and Answers #2

Question 6: Please confirm the “4-5 MIL” listed for Nitrile Exam Line Items 5-8 and 17-20 represents the minimum acceptable finger thickness.

Answer: The specification for Line Items 5-8 and 17-20 is 4-5 MIL.

Question 6a: Thank you for your response. Yes, we are aware the bid states “4-5 MIL” for Line Items 5-8 and 17-20, but our question was if the “4-5 MIL” represents the minimum acceptable FINGER thickness. Please be advised Nitrile gloves are thicker in the finger versus palm, so this information is critical in determining which gloves are compliant to the specification(s).

Answer: 4-5 MIL is NOT the minimum thickness for Line Items 5-8 and 17-20; it is the requirement.
