Questions for 657-19-200JB

Renovate Space in Medical Rehabilitation Building for Adaptive Bowling

1) Sheet 54-GI-101 & 54-GI-102

a) Key Note 2 on sheet 54-GI-102 states that the ICRA barrier wall is Type “A” plastic sheet barrier (see Type “A” on Sheet 54-GI-101). Type “A” is detailed on Sheet 54-GI-101 but does not indicate the location of the NPV monitor needed per ICRA Class III requirements. Please

Verify that the digital manometer is required per Class III specification.

i) NPV monitor is not required due to the building not being occupied by patients or public. Verify with COR this is still correct.

2) Sheet 54-GI-102, the ICRA-Operations Steps Document (middle top of sheet). The “Identify

Containment Measures Box” states that the Barrier Type is: Plastic Walls. However, the note below states that “boundary shared with public or patient care areas must have hard walls.”

Please clarify on the Basement Infection Control Plan (Sheet 54-GI-101, Detail drawing #1) which construction barriers will need to be “hard walls” as they are all noted to be Type “A”, Note #2, Plastic Sheet Barriers.

a) Because the building is not being occupied by patients or the public at this time, plastic sheet barriers are to be used for dust control. Verify with the COR that occupancy status has not changed.

3) Sheet 54-GI-102, Key Note #5 states “HEPA negative air unit, route exhaust outside of building in location directed by COR. Please provide exhaust routing drawing to exterior directed by COR.

This will need to be provided for bidding purposes.

a) This will need to be coordinated with the COR. Plans are not available at this time.

4) Sheet 54-GI-102, Detail drawing #1 “Basement Infection Control Plan” indicates only one (1) negative air machine (Note #5) needed to provide the necessary negative pressure ventilation of .01 WC. Please clarify if the contractor will need to provide the necessary amount of negative air machines to meet ICRA and Water Column requirements.

Areas around anchorage points of the existing slab shall be examined with ground penetrating radar to directly identify existing reinforcement locations and to verify anchor installation will not interrupt slab reinforcement.

7) Sheet 53-AE-601, Room Finish Schedule does not include Room BA102A. Please provide room finishes for BA102A?
