About this file

This is an Addendum #1 Q&A document from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for IFB #24C013001 regarding Smart Start Application Development. The proposal submission deadline is December 2, 2024, at 11:00am PST. The project involves updating an existing mobile application, with CHP providing all necessary graphics and hosting infrastructure. The scope is limited to updates, bug fixes, and compliance adjustments as outlined in Exhibit A, with no additional features beyond those requirements.

The incumbent contractor was Expanded Apps, Inc., operating under a one-year contract that is now up for renewal. The CHP could not confirm if the incumbent plans to submit a bid for this opportunity. The project will utilize existing source code, which is available via a provided Google Drive link, and CHP will maintain hosting responsibilities as this is an update to an existing application rather than a new development project.
