Q10 Question: Use cases & branding

Hello Joyce & Samantha, At GreenGear Supply we intent to place a bid but we have a couple of questions for you left. Would you mind telling us more about:

1. Do you have any clear use cases so that we can determine if we are a good fit? Will the bags for example just be used for shopping and groceries or should we take other uses into account too?

2. In the RFQ, you mentioned that you'd like to have differently colored bag options. Coloring the bags will increase the environmental impact so we were wondering how much coloring you expect to need and if you'd like the bags fully colored or just imprinted with a logo?

We appreciate your help and look forward to your reply.

Answer: Tompkins County is seeking bids for reusable bags, which are distributed at no charge to residents with low- and fixed-income, as part of the NYS Single Use Plastic Bag Ban legislation. These bags are intended to be used reusable shopping bags. The bags do not need to be imprinted with a logo. As noted in the bid specifications, please indicate what color options are available for the bags – this includes white, black, or other colors.
