About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation RFP 57-25, issued by Fayette County Public Schools, specifically concerning a Radio Enhancer project for Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. The solicitation seeks to install a radio signal enhancement system within the school building, with the scope limited to interior signal coverage. The project involves enhancing radio communications using Tait portable radios TP9400, with the district currently in the process of transitioning away from existing Harris radios.

The Q&A reveals that building maps will be provided in a future addendum, and the current environment shows no functioning Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) is present at the school, though other schools in the district have functioning BDAs. The response indicates that the radio enhancement system will be strictly interior-focused, with no requirement to cover areas outside the building. The document was dated 08/13/2025 and provides clarification on potential bidder questions regarding facility blueprints, coverage area, existing radio infrastructure, and current radio equipment in use.
