About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation 040ADV-25-R-0039, related to an HVAC duct cleaning project at the Government Publishing Office's Sixth Floor, Building A. Key details include a comprehensive scope of work involving HVAC system cleaning with specific requirements for lead and asbestos handling, including third-party air monitoring during the project. The cleaning scope encompasses dampers, supply and return ducts, air handling units, and flexible ductwork, with potential replacement of flexible ducts if deemed unsuitable. The Government will handle lead testing, asbestos clearance testing, and filter installation, while the contractor is responsible for lead abatement if necessary. The project is anticipated to involve a full floor release due to potential hazardous materials, with contractors required to submit phasing plans and completion schedules before the Notice to Proceed (NTP). There are no set-aside requirements for this procurement, and mechanical drawings have been provided for reference, with contractors expected to field verify the specifications.
