About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 to an RFQ issued by the County of York, Virginia Central Purchasing department for medical-grade bottled oxygen services to support fire station operations. The addendum, issued August 31, 2026, clarifies cylinder inventory requirements across four fire stations. The County will maintain a total on-site inventory of 8 M-size cylinders and 28 D-size cylinders distributed across Station 1 (2 M, 10 D), Station 2 (2 M, 6 D), Station 3 (2 M, 6 D), and Station 7 (2 M, 6 D). The County emphasizes that while these quantities represent anticipated on-site inventory provided for informational purposes, the estimated annual quantities on the Bid Form remain unchanged and were developed based on historical usage for bid evaluation only. Responses are due September 3, 2026, by 2:00 PM local time. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by completing and returning the certification form with their sealed submittal to Central Purchasing as specified in the original solicitation documents.
The addendum clarifies that the Bid Form quantities do not necessarily correspond to the number of cylinders physically maintained on-site at any given time and do not guarantee actual purchases, rentals, exchanges, refills, or deliveries. Vendors should structure pricing proposals accordingly, understanding that actual service requirements will be based on operational needs rather than the on-site inventory count. No incumbent vendor information, set-asides, or specific funding amounts are addressed in this addendum; these terms remain governed by the original solicitation documents.

CENTRAL PURCHASING

Solicitation Number: Q124920-BD
Solicitation Name: Medical-Grade Bottled Oxygen Services
Due: September 3, 2026 by 2:00 PM, local time. (Unchanged)
This Addendum supplements or modifies the original Solicitation noted above and is made part of the above identified solicitation. This Addendum consists of one (2) pages.
Note the following changes and prepare your submittal accordingly:
1. Question:
Can you please ascertain the exact number of cylinders that each station would have on location every day.
The request for rental or 1,020 D cylinders seems to be a mis-calculation.
Example:
Each Station keeps 20 cylinders on hand at all times at 4 locations.
That total would be 80 cylinders for a total of 12 months or 29,200 rental days (365 x 80)
County Answer:
The County currently anticipates maintaining the following cylinder inventory at the identified fire stations:
Station M Size Cylinders D Size Cylinders Station 1 2 10 Station 2 2 6 Station 3 2 6 Station 7 2 6 Total 8 28
These quantities represent the anticipated on-site cylinder inventory and are provided for informational purposes.
The estimated annual quantities shown on the Bid Form were developed based on historical usage and are intended for bid evaluation purposes only. The estimated annual quantities therefore do not necessarily correspond to the number of cylinders physically maintained on-site at any one time.
The Bid Form quantities remain unchanged. As stated on the Bid Form, quantities are estimates for bid evaluation only and do not guarantee actual purchases, rentals, exchanges, refills, or deliveries.
END OF ADDENDUM CHANGES
To certify the information contained in this Addendum is incorporated in your submittal, this Addendum should be completed and returned sealed to Central Purchasing in the manner as specified in the original solicitation document.
