Electrical Material Supplies - Question & Answers Q1: Junction Box, NEMA 4X, Screw Cover, PVC: junction box pvc size A1: PVC: 12" x 12" x 6": see photo below

Q2: 225 kVA 480 VAC primary 120/208 VAC secondary XFMR - Equivalent of attachment: XFMR indoor/outdoor?

A2: outdoor (NEMA 3R) transformer

Q3: 600A 120/208V 3 phase NEMA 3R distribution panel board w/ main breaker: 600A main breaker doesn’t exist, I have quoted a main lug A3: Main Lug will work - but it will need to be double lugged Q3.1: Transformer does not include lugs, will the AU-600 be used for the transformer? If not I will need another list. Sorry there are other lugs on the order as well, KA29U, I assume they will be used for the transformer.

A3.1: See line item 49, Double Barrel Mechanical Lug (600 kcmil - 2 AWG). Match properties of item in link provided.

Q3.2: 600a panel will be at least 30 space, what amperage they want for the main breaker?

A3.2: Follow specs in PDF – 600 Amp Panel Board.

Q4: 300 A dual element fuses: 3-100 amp fuses or 3-300 amp fuses A4: (3) 300 A fuses

Q5: 600 AMP breaker with dual tapes: 600 amp breaker with dual tapes, need more clarification A5: 3 pole 600 amp breaker that has double lugs

Q5.1: will be a breaker enclosure, open breaker, aic rating?
A5.1: Follow specs in PDF – 600 Amp Panel Board.

Q6: 600 AMP breaker with dual tapes? As per one of our suppliers:

Unfortunately, we have never heard of anything on a breaker referred to as "tapes". For taps that is usually used when speaking about a transformer not a circuit breaker.

A6: “Taps” not “tapes”. See PDF – 600 Amp Panel Board for details.

Q7: Could you please confirm breaker specs and tap size. Also, we need to know if the transformer is Copper or Aluminum windings and if Made in USA is required since its being installed at PMRF. Copper is normally used as well on the transformers too.

A7: See PDF – 600 Amp Panel Board for details. Either Copper or Aluminum is acceptable. DFARS Provision 252.225-7000 and Clause 252.225-7001 applies to this solicitation/pending purchase order.

Q8: Line 60 - 600 AMP breaker with dual tapes: is this a separate breaker or does it need to be in the DP Panel?

A8: In the panel. See PDF – 600 Amp Panel Board.
